The degrees you have to have to become a RN

To become an RN  you have to have certain degrees. There are many degrees that you have to have and can get. The higher the degree the more marketable you will be. However, there are Associate of Science degrees as an RN (2 years) is offered by community colleges, with a ladder program to a Bachelors Degree in nursing is you wish to choose to do so at a later date. There may still be some hospital schools of nursing that may offer a diploma program in nursing. Stay with the degree concept whether it be the Associates or Bachelors degree. There are also college degrees for becoming a RN. There are three options to become a registered nurse as follows.

  • diploma program (typically three years, not recommended for individuals who do not have an already existing degree)

  • associate degree (two years as a full-time student once the student starts the professional phase of the program)

  • bachelor's degree (BSN) (four years as a full-time student)

Postive Things About Registered Nurses

There is very many things that are positive and good about being a Registered Nurse. Personally i think being a Registered Nurse is a good thing. Mainly because if you are a person that likes to help other people and show them you care it makes a good job. There is several different things registered Nurses do. They help all kinds of different people too. They also work at different places too. You can be a Registered Nurse and be able to work at Nursing Homes, Rehabs,Hospitals,Dr.Offices,Schools. You can help with Adults,Kids, and Elders too. There is guy Registered Nurses too they are everywhere a Nurse is a Nurse no matter what boys are always excepted.

Introduction

Have you ever wanted to become a Nurse or one step higher of becoming A Registered Nurse!? Well I remember when I was a little girl in kindergarten the teachers would ask everyone what they wanted to be and I said a Nurse. I like helping people. There is variety of things you do when you are a Registered Nurse. You can go and help doctors with surgery's, Giving people there shots, Taking blood, Checking people in to their rooms, ect.
